Meet Kamilla Falkowski
If you can give 10% more of what you did in your last workout, soon you’ll be giving yourself 100%.
When did you decide that you wanted to be a PT?
Fitness has always been something I have loved since I started working out 17 years ago. After getting my nutrition certification and seeing the gap I could fill by providing a well-rounded service to my clients doing what I love, I decided to pursue PT and Group Fitness.
What is your training philosophy?
It’s beyond physical. If you take a deeper look, my community and I talk about things beyond fitness, beyond nutrition. We talk about life's purpose, goals, obstacles, and how we can overcome them. If you can give 10% more of what you did in your last workout, soon you’ll be giving yourself 100%. And that isn’t just in class; it’s applicable in every aspect of your life.
First thing you do when you wake up?
I have my bulletproof coffee.
What are you hoping people will get out of your rē•spin workouts?
My biggest goal is that you break a sweat and that you take your thoughts away from whatever is keeping you worried or anxious. That you leave everything that holds you back in that 25 minutes with me and walk out feeling stronger and accomplished. Proud of yourself! We grind together; we get stronger together.
What does your pre/post-workout meal consist of?
For about five years, I’ve been fasting intermittently, so I don’t have a pre-workout meal. The only things I have before my workout are my coffee, cold-pressed green juice, and sometimes pre-workout. For post-workout, I have a protein smoothie.
What advice would you give someone just discovering fitness?
Show up regardless of how you feel, and keep showing up. Stay committed to it. Don’t compare your progress to anyone else; your journey is unique.
How do you feel you’ve rē•spun your life?
COVID-19 has affected the fitness industry, with gyms and fitness studios closures. As a result, I had to move quickly, changing and adapting myself and keeping a positive mindset, none of which would have been possible if I didn’t have my boyfriend, Tim, by my side. I was teaching about 9 to 10 classes per day, all back to back. The pandemic showed up unexpectedly, but I was able to use the momentum and the community to start teaching Zoom classes, grow my training business at home, and eventually create a solid virtual and in-person PT clientele. Plus, my Zoom classes were converted into boot camps twice a week, which keeps growing!
