Tim Machado got his start as a fitness professional 12 years ago after graduating from the University of San Diego. He has continued his education through NESTA with specialties in biomechanics, functional training, trigger point therapy, and precision nutrition. Throughout his career, Tim has led fitness segments on television, speaking gigs on ESPN radio, and has cultivated a community focusing on a healthier lifestyle. Tim has become a go-to fitness coach for high profile professionals, including athletes and actors, as well as helping middle-aged individuals who struggle with their weight and elderly clients with injuries.

When did you decide that you wanted to be a PT?
14 years ago in college when I decided not to play college football because of injuries. I decided I’d like to help people avoid injuries.
What did you do before you became a trainer?
It was during college but I also did Fitness Facility Sales and Social Media Consulting
What are you hoping people will get out of your rē•spin workouts?
I hope that people gain motivation and positive energy after my workouts.
What does your pre/post-workout meal consist of?
High protein and healthy carb. Usually, either protein oatmeal, shake, or eggs and sweet potatoes.
What is your training philosophy?
My training philosophy starts with the mind, if you can believe it, you can achieve it. My training is very different depending on clients' goals. But basically functional training, strength training, athletic training.
First thing you do when you wake up?
Breathwork, meditation, practice gratitude and walk the dog.
How do you feel you’ve rē•spun your life?
Always finding the positive in everything.
